The year of the tiny wins

Slow down, lean in. That’s where your magic lives.

I had a  call this morning with my coach.

I’ve been lucky to have some super support this year, during one of the most transformational years of my career.

It's been a ride.

And it's definitely ending better than it started.

And that’s more than ok.

That call today reminded me of the importance of celebrating all that we achieve.

Especially when things have felt hard.

A year of tiny wins.

That adds up into a big, bold shift.

I’ve entered into December knowing that the magic of figuring out what I most need,  and what is going to be most helpful and kind for myself and others, is always much easier to hear when I slow down and tune in.

So I’ve surrendered into allowing myself to let things be easy in December, during a month that traditionally for me I have normally found  hard.

Too busy. Too stressful. Too anticlimactic.

And instead I’m firmly placing myself at the top of my list for Santa and claiming what I want to be here for:

More tea drinking.

More time with my closest friends.

More rest (hello weighted blanket, where have you been all my life?)

More fresh air.

More reading.

More writing.

More peace

And I am definitely not here for:

Frantic stressful deadline chasing work.

Fighting with commuter trains.

Crowds and Christmas shopping bun fights.

Anything that involves powering up, grinding it out or diving for the line.

No. But thank you.

And just knowing that’s all completely ok, is a massive tiny win for me.

How about you?
