Coming home

Today is the winter solstice. The shortest day.

A time when we can reflect on the closing of the year.

And start to welcome back the light.

I spent this morning dipping in the sea in West Cornwall at sunrise.

The place I grew up.

The place I most feel at home.

It's impossible to grow up in a landscape like West Cornwall and not be inspired and shaped by the environment, the creativity and the wildness.

It's a place that has a true, deep sense of who it is.

Its spirit and its magic.

The edge of the land where the interesting stuff happens.

I am from this place.

In a year of re-defining  myself and my work,  I’m happy to have refound my own light.

And a true sense of coming home to myself.

As we enter the crazy busyness of the next few days I hope you too can carve some time to come home to yourself.

And find some peace in the spaces in between.

We usually find ourselves spending lots of energy in the run up to the Big Festive Falalalalalalalala, like it's a huge race to get ahead.

And then it's over before we blink.

Onto the next thing. What’s ahead?

As we enter Christmas I hope you don’t waste too much time worrying about what's ahead.

Just for a little while.

Instead, I hope you find the magic in connecting with the people, places and experiences that are right here in this moment.

And allow yourself the opportunity to come home to yourself.

With love,

Tamsyn x
