Looking out for Green Flags

I can’t quite believe what I get to be part of next week.

An amazing speaking opportunity, to share my professional story with a wonderful group of humans at the HR Big meet in London, led by trailblazer Emma Djemil.

And I get to kick off the facilitation of the first ever Leading for Wellbeing programme on behalf of the Corin & Co Academy, led by the brilliant Harry Corin and his team.

Two opportunities that just a few years ago would have been dreams on a vision board.

Far off thoughts of ‘what if’ in my head.

Emma and Harry are different people. Operating in different worlds with different audiences and goals.

But for me they have something critical in common.

They put up big green flags for me.

They’ve both helped and supported me in many ways. Some of which they don’t even know about.

I can feel a green flag, in the same way that I can see a red flag a mile off.

As Yung Pueblo says “ The three biggest green flags are growth, kindness, and compassion”.

The key is to pay attention to both.

Here’s to doing good work with good people.

Choosing to help each other as we grow, and cheering each other on with compassion and kindness.
