Shine your light

We are all meant to shine differently.

And shine light positively on others too.

But the world sometimes forces us into a space of smallness.

Or light dimming.

Or shaming us into fear of shining too brightly.

Because that might make others uncomfortable.  Especially if they’ve lost sight of their own light.

So we are told to stop shining. Be quiet. Be small.

Who are you to shine your light for the world?

Well, who are you not to?

I work alot with teams and individuals around strengths.

The strengths we all have, the talents that light us up, the things that we are meant to give to the world.

Where our energy lies. Where our true potential lives.

The stuff that gives agency, enables change and supports positive impact.

For ourselves or for others.

Without question, when teams and people play to their strengths, magic can happen.

Days get made, plans get crafted, stuff gets done.

When we dim our light, or hide it because others tell us we are shining too brightly,we can dim that light to the point that it gets burnt out.

And burnout can take a long time to recover from.

And recovery time isn't as simple as switching back on the light with one simple click.

If we can’t shine our light for ourselves,we can’t shine it for others either.

So find your light this weekend.

And shine it so brightly that the other light seekers can find you.

With love,

Tamsyn x
